The finished façade surface can show colour differences compared to samples. These differences are caused by the use of natural raw materials and environmental influences during the drying period. To avoid colour differences it is advised to mix some of the previous product with the newly delivered product.

Granicem ITE can be applied on all solid mineral substrates. Granicem ITE is specially designed for use on the Granol'therm Tradition insulation system. All remaining mortar, residus of insulating material and degraded materials need to be removed. To create a suited surface, consult the product information of the Cement’in C+(G), MEGA. The primary substrate needs to be rendered rough preferably horizontally. Follow the prescriptions of the last edition of the DTU 26.1. In case of doubt on the nature of the substrate, consult our technical service.

When used manually, mix one bag of dry mortar intensely with 6-7 liters of clear water. To achieve a perfectly even colour and structure it is necessary to use a constant and homogenic mixture. If used manually remix after 10 minutes. After Application the render is leveled out and stretched with a notched trowel to avoid the forming of air pockets. Granicem ITE can also be applied mechanically. The specifications of the machine manufacturer need to be followed.  Granicem ITE needs to be applied in such a way that fresh material is always to other fresh material. In such a way that it is advised the the labourer works just until a edge is reached. One or two days after, if the temperature and the drying time are right, the render is scraped with a scraper. It is important to scrape at the right time, at the right level of drying, to obtain the right characteristics. Treat the same surfaces at once to avoid differences. To avoid efflorescence it it absolutely necessary for it to stay dry 1-2 days after scraping the render. The freshly applied render needs to be protected from rain and from fast drying. In case the sun shines directly on the surface or when wind hits strong, it is necessary to take measures accordingly. Eg. Protective covers on the scaffolding. It is absolutely necessary for new constructions to dry out completely before the insulation is put into place. This is to avoid an abundancy of water migrating from the inside to the outside through the one coat render, resulting in possible colour differences. It is not allowed to add extra additives.
